Dr. Geraldine Richmond, Presidential Chair of Science and Professor of Chemistry, University of Oregon

Dr. Richmond is an international expert in environmental chemistry who has also dedicated her career to increasing the success of women in the sciences. She will deliver a technical lecture to the Department of Chemistry and a public lecture that is open to all members of the community. This lectureship series honors Helen Murray Free, a 1945 graduate of the College of Wooster who developed the “dip and read” glucose test for diabetics and served as president of the American Chemical Society.
